Alabama football will have a new offensive coordinator in 2019 as Steve Sarkisian rejoins the team. What will he bring to the offense?

Alabama football will have a new man in charge of the offense for the third straight year as Steve Sarkisian looks to take over as the Crimson Tide’s offensive coordinator in 2019. The entire coaching staff has been unstable for Alabama the past few seasons as every football program wants to hire his guys in hopes of learning the tricks of the process in Tuscaloosa.

Sarkisian is coming off of being fired as the offensive coordinator of the Atlanta Falcons. His last job in college was when he was with the Crimson Tide as their… offensive coordinator. However, he was only offensive coordinator for one game, a game where the Tide lost to Clemson in the National Championship.

Sarkisian will be hoping to right his ship in Tuscaloosa in many ways. Not only does he want to avoid having an 0-1 record as offensive coordinator, he also needs to show growth as a coach if he ever wants to be the head coach of another college football program.

Steve Sarkisian might be flawed, but he has skill as an offensive mind. He hopes to bring some of his concepts to a potent Alabama offense that has talent across the board. There will be an embarrassment of riches for the Crimson Tide on offense this year, including their quarterback, their four top receivers, a five-star starting at running back, and an experienced offensive line.

It would be an understatement to say that Steve Sarkisian is set up to succeed in his second attempt in Tuscaloosa, but he will still have to work to get the team where they want to be for the 2019 season. What exactly does he bring to the Alabama offense? Here’s three of his top contributions in 2019.
