The Minnesota Vikings took down the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football and landed one more shot in after the final whistle.

Monday Night Football provided plenty of drama, but in the end, the Minnesota Vikings and Kirk Cousins did just enough to take down Nick Foles and the Chicago Bears. In what was a tight contest, the Vikings went to the Windy City and were able to improve their season record to 4-5.

Following the nail-biting victory, the Vikings weren’t done delivering blows to the Bears, with Minnesota’s social media team deciding to troll Chicago with a pretty clever tweet that fans everywhere seemed to enjoy.

The Vikings went ahead and trolled the Bears after taking them down on Monday night

Wow, the Vikings didn’t hold back with this tweet, adding the ‘Bear, Down’ caption to really get their point home. Chicago supporters, and even some Vikings fans, took offense to the post, especially since Foles went down with a an injury and was carted off the field. However, it should be noted that the photo the Vikings used in their tweet is not the play where Foles got injured.

Some Vikings fans jumped to the defense of their team though, pointing out that the photo wasn’t from the play Foles was injured on.

In the Monday Night Football victory, both offenses looked sluggish as times, but Minnesota made plays when needed to come out on top. In the win, Cousins threw for 292 yards and two touchdowns, with both his scores going to star wide receiver Adam Theilen. Dalvin Cook was kept out of the end zone, but he finished with 96 rushing yards on 30 carries.

After starting the campaign off a lowly 1-5, Minnesota has suddenly become a red-hot team, winning their last three contests. They’re on the outside looking in for the postseason as things stand, but if they keep their strong play going, they could close the gap and find themselves in the playoffs after all.
