The Chicago Bears ended their season much earlier than anticipated, so it’s time to look ahead at some sneaky free agent finds in 2019.

It’s only been two weeks, folks. Somehow, the NFC championship game being played later today doesn’t feature these Chicago Bears. If you’re like me, you actually got a bit angry watching the divisional round between the Los Angeles Rams and Dallas Cowboys.

“We should be playing in this game,” I thought.

By “we,” I mean “my” team — you all know how that goes. My Bears. Our Bears. They should be playing.

But, alas, the season really is over. It is on to 2019, and this team is fully prepared for a Super Bowl run after how far they came in just one season under Matt Nagy. The Bears have many of their important pieces in place for a couple of years and, at this point, it’s going to be about filling in the gaps.

Do the Bears have some important decisions to make this offseason on their own guys? Absolutely. Will Jordan Howard be traded? Will the Bears bring back Adrian Amos?

These are tough questions which we may not like the answers to initially, but depending on what Ryan Pace decides to do, we’ll have to trust him.

Beyond their own guys, the Bears won’t be too busy in free agency this year. They have most of their roster intact, after doing a lot of the renovating last offseason.

This free agency class isn’t quite as flashy as some in the past. There are some big names, but the Bears won’t be in on those. Some of this year’s free agents could fly under the radar though, and those are the guys I want to see the Bears go after.

Check out just a few who could come on the cheap, but also help the Bears in their quest to win a Super Bowl in 2020.
