Alabama quarterback Mac Jones is continuing to put in the necessary hard work ahead of the 2021 NFL Draft.

The 2021 NFL Draft is absolutely stacked with quarterback talent. Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Mac Jones, Justin Fields, and Trey Lance could all realistically go in the first round.

Jones is a fascinating player because there are links to the San Francisco 49ers at No. 3 overall. Or is this all a big bluff? No matter what the rumors say, Jones is continuing to stay focused and working hard as he awaits his new job.

Jones’ stock is already high and showing off his commitment is a great way to stay in the good graces of teams nitpicking every single thing about the available quarterbacks.

Jones put himself in the top quarterback conversation thanks to a legendary 2020 season. He threw for 4,500 yards, 41 touchdowns, and only threw four interceptions. All this came in one of the most dominant runs to a national championship victory in recent memory.

NFL teams are notorious for planting false storylines to influence what their counterparts do or think leading up to a draft. Right now it looks like Lawrence and Wilson are set to go with the first two picks. But has Fields’ stock fallen far enough to where Jones would pass him?

There is so much speculation this time of year and the 49ers may still be talking over their final decision for the next few weeks. All Jones can do is stay ready and keep proving to teams he is prepared to be a franchise quarterback.
