The NFL Draft just wrapped up in Nashville, and it’s never too early to gaze into the future and take a look at projections with our 2020 NFL mock draft.

The 2020 NFL Draft is just a year away! It’s never too early to get a jump start on projections. Okay, you’re right. I relent. It’s totally too early for this. Only a crazy person would try to prognosticate something so far into the future that is sure to change wildly between now and when the draft actually kicks off.

I mean, just look at how many changes occurred in the 2019 cycle over the last month or so. Several players who were thought to be first or second round prospects ended up falling into the day three range.

But the 2020 NFL Draft class has the chance to be very intriguing. Several teams have already started looking ahead at what could be a star-studded quarterback class after a relatively weak one in 2019. A few high-profile signal callers will be eligible for the draft, and teams could be looking at placeholder quarterbacks to just bridge the gap between the 2019 season and the draft next April.

The draft will be held in Las Vegas next year and will serve as the unofficial kick off to the Las Vegas Raiders, which will play its first season in Sin City in 2020. Luckily for the home fans, the Raiders currently hold two selections in next year’s first round. They have Chicago’s 2020 first rounder in tow as part of the Khalil Mack trade.

I’m going to do my best to project what might happen next year, though it should all be taken with a grain of salt. This is supposed to be fun, after all. Identifying team needs right now is nearly impossible, as rosters will look vastly different from they do now. There will undoubtedly be more trades to come.

Also, the draft order is mostly random. I sort-of projected the 2019 NFL season to get here, but please don’t yell at me because of where your team is picking. I understand you think next year is your year and that I’m an idiot.

So let’s get started and see if I can get through this without ending up like McMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.
