It may only be early June, but it’s never too early to take a look at the 2020 odds to win the National Championship.

Alabama and Clemson have been the kings of college football with the two splitting the last four national championships. The 2020 national championship odds peg the Tide and Tigers as the two overwhelming favorites yet again.

In fact, Alabama and Clemson have seen their title odds improve over the long offseason. Clemson is a +200 favorite while Alabama is a +225 favorite. Both saw slight increases in their title pursuit while LSU and Penn State have also seen their odds shortened to the eighth and 12th best odds.

But many other contenders have had their odds worsen over the offseason. There isn’t anything to really worry about for fans of these programs. Part of it can be attributed to fluctuations in the betting market resulting in these shifts, some of which are really very minor and subtle.

They’re all chasing Clemson and Alabama, however, with the oddsmakers tabbing Georgia, Ohio State and Oklahoma as the three most likely challengers to knock them from their throne.

Below you will find the updated 2020 National Championship odds. The changes in odds from January are noted in parenthesis.

If you’re looking to win some money making a bet, you’ll want to avoid putting a few bucks on Clemson and Alabama. The favorites aren’t going to net a big financial windfall that lets you retire early. However, if you’re looking for some sneaky picks that could make a title run, consider Texas and Oregon as teams with an easier path to the College Football Playoff where they could make things interesting.
