Draymond Green’s clutch block on Damontas Sabonis helped the Golden State Warriors defeat the Sacramento Kings in Game 4. Here’s every angle of the play.

The Golden State Warriors were seemingly in trouble after Game 2 against the Sacramento Kings. Not only have they been bad on the road all season, but they lost Draymond Green for Game 3 due to a suspension related to him stomping on Damontas Sabonis’ chest when the two got tangled up.

The Warriors were able to get back in the series with a Game 3 win, and on Sunday, they officially got Green back. And to say his presence had an impact is an understatement.

With the Warriors up 124-121 with under two minutes remaining in regulation, Harrison Barnes looked to pull the Kings within one point with a layup attempt, which missed the basket. Sabonis grabbed the rebound and looked to make a layup, but he was blocked by Green, allowing the Warriors to regain possession.

Let’s just say that Green was pumped up about the play, as he yelled and stared down Sabonis.

Here’s a look at every angle from Green’s clutch block.

Even with the block, the Warriors were still in danger of losing the game. Up 126-121, Warriors star Stephen Curry called a timeout, despite the fact that the team had none remaining. So, the Kings got a free throw attempt rewarded to them, which Malik Monk made to pull the team within 126-122. Then, seconds later, De’Aaron Fox hit a three-point attempt to cut Sacramento’s deficit to one point. However, Barnes’ shot at the buzzer hit the rim, clinching the 126-125 victory for Golden State.

Green made an impact in his return off the bench. Per ESPN, Kings players that were primarily defended by Green were 5-for-15 from the field in the second half. Not only that, but Fox was 2-for-7 when Green was defending him.

In 31 minutes played, Green scored 12 points (3-for-14 from field, 6-for-6 from free throw line), hauled in 10 rebounds and dished out seven assists.

The series now returns to Sacramento for Game 5 on Wednesday, Apr. 26, and Golden State will look to get their first win on the road. Tipoff time is scheduled for 10:00 p.m. ET.
