In fantasy baseball, top prospects are in the crosshairs of many because they significantly impact our rosters in fantasy leagues. Within these, the pitchers tend to be the ones who adapt the fastest to the rhythm and competition of MLB.

In this sense, this week the debut of two important young arms of the minors that are within the Top 100 of MLB Pipeline prospects is expected. Due to injuries and the underperforming of some pitchers, adding these two pitchers is a must-do this week and for the rest of the year.

Two top starting pitching prospects to consider adding to your fantasy baseball league.

  • Tanner Bibee, SP-CLE. Joe Noga of Cleveland.com reported that Tanner Bibee would be making his MLB debut this Wednesday in the series finale against the Colorado Rockies in Cleveland. Bibee is the 59th prospect in all of Major League Baseball, according to MLB Pipeline. The young pitcher has an arsenal with which he has dominated the minors with a fastball that can reach 99 mph and a slider and changeup with excellent control and breaking. Bibee is undoubtedly a pitcher who can quickly establish himself in MLB, especially after an outing with the Rockies lineup.
  • Brandon Pfaadt, SP-ARI. One piece of news we’ve been waiting for in Arizona since Madison Bumgarner’s departure from the team is the debut of Brandon Pfaadt. According to Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic, the 52nd prospect in all of baseball could be making his debut this weekend against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field, a place where baseballs can fly. Pfaadt should be added to any fantasy baseball format due to his great strikeout ability and excellent control. The 24-year-old pitcher has a rising fastball that reaches 96 mph and a mid-80s slider that throws hitters out of place. Despite playing on a stage like Coors Field, Pfaadt is up to stay.

These two 24-year-old prospects can create a significant impact from day one. Don’t be afraid to add them to any format of fantasy baseball leagues and stay with them, even if they don’t make it big in their first MLB outing.
